SAL: MV Svenja, Loading 8 Damen Tugs

Описание к видео SAL: MV Svenja, Loading 8 Damen Tugs

Every square meter of deck space was used: exact planning of the stowage on deck guaranteed that MV Svenja could load eight tugs and later, in addition, an E-House – all in one voyage. In particular a perfect lifting arrangement had to be created to arrange a safe loading and discharging of the E-House amidst the already lashed tugs.

The voyage started in Vietnam, where MV Svenja loaded 6 tugs in Haiphong and another 2 in Da Nang. The tugs had a weight of up to 500 t and measured up to 28.6 x 14.4 x 15.8 m. Two of the tugs were secured in the hatch, whereas the other six were fastened on deck, leaving some space for the E-House: the latter was the last to be loaded in Batam/Indonesia and the first to be discharged in Rio Grande/Brazil. The E-House measured 22 x 28 x 23 m and weighed 1250 t; it is destined for a FPSO Unit.

Finalizing the long voyage, also the tugs were delivered to their destinations in Lagos/Nigeria and Rotterdam/the Netherlands.SAL Heavy Lift's DP1 vessel MV Svenja successfully loads 8 Damen tugs in Vietnam, Halong Anchorage and Danang:
