SAL: MV Svenja transports 80 monopiles and 80 transition pieces in 20 journeys

With its several thousand kilometres of coastline along the North Sea, the English Channel, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, the French market for offshore wind farms is one of the world’s most important growth markets for energy production from offshore wind. SAL’s long lasting logistics support to specialist offshore contractor DEME Offshore once again resulted in the appointment of SAL‘s MV Svenja to handle the
complex transport of the heavy foundations in close alignment to the construction plan of one of the first four offshore wind farms in France: The
Saint-Nazaire Offshore Wind Farm.
