BOWMAN GRAY DRIVER ANGRY AT OFFICIALS - DELAYS RACING FOR 10 MINUTES; RADIO CHATTER CRAZY!

The driver of the 21 car in the Sportsman Division at Bowman Gray, Tommy Neal, showed some serious displeasure with Bowman Gray Racing officials after he disagreed with their decision to put a car back in front of him that he felt didn't belong there.

It all started when a caution came out for a spinning car but 2 more cars behind that spin also had an issue on the track. Officials will often and usually put cars that have issues after the caution back in their spot from before the caution, so when officials told the 19 car to go back in front of the 21 car, Tommy Neal wasn't having it.

He kept the 19 car behind him, causing him to be black flagged on the restart. He stopped on the track, bringing out another caution. When they went green again, he went slow, bringing out another caution. Then he pulled his car sideways across the start finish line, got out of his car and pointed and yelled toward the tower where the officials call the race from.

And this descriptions of the events doesn't even take into account what was said on the various radio channels heard in the recording, a lot of which had to be bleeped for young ears.

Officials ended up towing the 21 car to the infield of the track for the remainder of the race so the driver and team couldn't cause any further delays.
