Gem club adventure, fire opals and camping

Описание к видео Gem club adventure, fire opals and camping

I head east to the Oregon outback and return to the Red October fire opal mine on a gem club field trip, On the way there I camp by a lake in my SUV and barbeque up some steaks. The mine is currently open only to those who purchase a season pass from the owner, but this is the last year the mine will be open to the public. He used to let anyone go there for free but there were some people abusing the privilege and taking advantage of his good nature while leaving trash and stealing tools. People who disrespect a good thing ruined it for everyone else. This year will be your last chance to dig fire opal at the claim. Get your pass now because as of November 1st the mine will be closed to the public permanently. You may contact the owner to get a pass or purchase fire opals through the terrapin rocks facebook page at a very reasonable price.

Greetings dear viewers. We will be focused on outdoor skills such as survival bushcraft, back country adventures, overlanding, camping, outdoor cooking, trout fishing, rock hounding, prospecting, wildcraft, edible plant foraging, beach combing, making jewelry and exploring some local points of interest in the pacific northwest area.

This is a general purpose outdoors channel where we will be exploring everything from historic mining sites and ghost towns to wild mushroom patches, botanical areas and mountain country as we travel Bigfoot's back yard in southern Oregon and northern California in search of natural beauty.

Whether you are a survivalist, foodie or just enjoy hiking and hunting for pretty rocks, I think you will enjoy our adventures and invite you to come along. At no time will any sasquatches be harmed in the making of these films.
