Ingredients:
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon chili sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 red chili, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, chili sauce, olive oil, soy sauce, vinegar, tomato ketchup, and peanut butter. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Add the finely chopped red chili to the mixture. Adjust the amount according to your desired level of spiciness.
Season the sauce with salt, brown sugar, and black pepper. Stir well to incorporate the seasonings into the sauce.
Taste the hoisin sauce and adjust the flavors if needed. You can add more honey for sweetness, soy sauce for saltiness, chili sauce for spiciness, or vinegar for tanginess.
Once the sauce is well balanced and to your liking, transfer it to a jar or airtight container. Store it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
