Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Gen-Y adjustable Torsion Flex two ball mount with the pintle lock and a drop for a 2-1/2 inch hitch. Has a 10,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this is an adjustable ball mount, so it'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The solid shank right back here is what'll slide into your 2-1/2 inch hitch receiver on your vehicle, and it's secured in place with either a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Now, those items are not included.

We do sell those separately on our website. The hitch pin holds back here are a 5/8 inch diameter. Now up front, they have the two inch or a 2-5/16 inch diameter hitch ball. This will provide the connection point for your trailer coupler. And what's nice on this, if you notice right here, they include this pintle lock accessory.

And what this is used for is when this is paired with the larger 2-5/16 inch ball, it'll provide a secure connection point for a lunette ring coupler. So if you have a trailer that has lunette ring on it and you wanna tow that, you can do that and then use that lock to lock it into place. And I just wanna show you how that works. So we'll go ahead and take our clip off, slide our pin out, and then you can see this lock accessory can slide back into the ball mount. And then when you put your lunette ring, the lunette ring coupler is just a large ring that'll drop over the 2-5/16 inch diameter ball.

Once it drops over there, you wanna make sure it stays in place. It doesn't unhook. You slide this lock accessory over the lunette ring, line up the hole, slide your pin back through. Take your clip, go ahead and put your clip in and it locks it into place over the lunette ring, keeps that lunette ring from coming off. Now, if you're not gonna use it on the lunette ring coupler, if it's just a standard trailer coupler that drops over the ball, you can just move this lock accessory out of the way, unpin it again, slide it back, and there's a second hole that this will line up with.

And again, you can pin it into place. Put the clip on there, and now it'll lock it into the closed position. Now, you can use it for just a standard trailer coupler. Gross towing weight capacity on this is 10,000 pounds, maximum tongue weight of 1,100 pounds. If you notice up front here, it has six stacked two inch receivers. It'll accept the included ball mount and pintle lock, as well as other hitch-mounted accessories by Gen-Y that we do sell separately. The pins in here, they are 5/8 inch diameter stainless steel pins and clips. There are two of them. I just want to show you. There's the clips and there's the pins. So being stainless steel, they will hold up over time and still look good after many uses. And also, one of the things I wanted to mention, if you notice the clip, when I take the clip off, you can see it has a twist design to it. It's just not a straight clip. On the straight ones, sometimes they're hard to push in or hard to remove. But on this one, what you'll do is just push this. And as you push it, it twists in into place so it's a lot easier to remove and install. It's a unique feature of Gen-Y. Now, the adjustable height on this, it'll let you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. Works well if you have a lifted truck. The ball mount can be lowered or raised to match your application. Now, the maximum drop on this, so if we put this ball mount in the lowest position here, and then we measure from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform, it's gonna get you a maximum drop of 10 inches. Now, this does use the Torsion Flex technology. It'll function just like a torsion axle right here to limit the transfer of road shock from your trailer to your truck and vice versa. It'll help reduce chucking and rough forward motion, limits bounce, jarring, and up and down motion. And the ideal working tongue weight for this type of technology is 400 to 1,100 pounds. And just to show you a little more detail of what we're talking about, I happen to have a cutaway right here. Slide it up front. And if you look at that cutaway, right here on the inside, this is what that's gonna look like. So this is pretty much how it would be on the inside. Basically what it is, built into the ball mount are these tubes with inner bars
