There are numerous trains are available from Sealdah OR Howrah station to NJP. Kaffergaon can be reached by car in around 4 and a half hours drive from NJP. You will find that Kaffergaon Homestay makes pick-up and drop-off arrangements which may quite convenient for you. Alternatively, you can get there by hiring a shared car. It will take about 3 hours to get to Kalimpong from NJP. Kalimpong is only 55 KM away from Kaffergaon. Hire a cab to Kaffergaon after arriving in Kalimpong. Cost around Rs. 4000 to Rs.4500/- for a fully reserved car.

By far, the best homestay I have ever seen in North Bengal is Kaffer Homestay. Also for best staying and food experience. The owner of the homestay is Sunil Tamang. This homestay has been built over a large area. There are total 9 rooms in this homestay. Three four bedded rooms. Two triple bedded rooms and four double bedded rooms. The interior of each room is amazing. Everything from furniture is made of pine wood. From to floor everything is made of wood. Extremely clean rooms and bathroom as well. Kaffergaon Homestay offers the valued visitors a comfortable place to stay. The Kaffergaon Homestay serves delicious, fresh, and hygienic home-cooked meals. Expecting 5-star amenities in this community of rustic surroundings would be ridiculous. However, the warm welcome of the residents will more than make up for the luxurious amenities.
