Epic $400 2004 Yamaha YZ125 Rebuild Transformation Timelapse

I picked up this 2004 Yamaha YZ125 from a friend of a friend for $400. It had been sitting for 9 years. Something was wrong with the engine but he didn't know what. After tearing it down, 2 of the transmission bearings had completed exploded and the idler gear was seized. Lots of the gears also had bits of the teeth eaten away.

I found a used transmission on eBay in great condition, replaced all of the bearings, and rebuilt the rest of the bike from the ground up. Oversized front rotor, stainless steel brake lines, fresh suspension, etc. Stoked on the final result and can't wait to rip this thing.

Final build cost with everything included was $3,500.
