ACCELERATING THE PROTECTION OF TIPIN AND KOR'S RIGHTS IN THE KARAMOJA SUB-REGION.

The FGM Norm and Mindset change documentary highlights some of the protection initiatives and schemes implemented by NAWOU to advance the rights of girls and women in the Karamoja sub-region. Through supporting efforts aimed at reducing the prevalence of FGM/C in the communities of Amudat and Moroto districts by 2020 with funding from Embassy of Ireland, NAWOU identified and documented key successes within the 2 year implementation period.

The National Association of Women’s Organizations in Uganda (NAWOU) in collaboration with Embassy of Ireland in Uganda is implementing a two-year project, “Accelerating the protection of the Tipin and Kor's Rights” in Amudat, Nakapiripirit and Moroto districts.

The project is implemented in partnership with Amudat Inter-religious Development Initiative (AIDI) and Karamoja Women’s Umbrella Organisation (KAWUO).
