Delta Boeing 717-200 Takeoff From Washington Dulles (IAD)

Описание к видео Delta Boeing 717-200 Takeoff From Washington Dulles (IAD)

Shot on 12 July 2023, Delta Airlines flight 2820.

This was the first of two flights on my journey back out west and I chose this flight specifically so I'd get the chance to fly on Delta's717. With all the MD-80s now retired this is the last living descendent left from the legendary DC-9 bloodline. It was very fun and somewhat nostalgic way to get down to Atlanta. Delta has a knack for keeping excellent care of their planes, even the older ones like this and it showed on this flight. Despite the age of the aircraft, the seats and hard product all around seemed fresh and modern.

With only three airlines left in the world flying the 717's I consider myself very lucky to have flown on 2 of them within the same calendar year.

Other than a fairly turbulent takeoff, this flight was smooth all throughout cruise and down into Atlanta. The classic view out the window was a real treat and I'm so happy I got a chance to fly on this rare bird before she's extinct. Thank you for taking the time to watch this video, and ENJOY!
