The mighty toaster strudel. The flaky, slightly crispy and delicious creamy glaze drizzled over the puff pastry. We are making that today, but better. You think you know how good toaster strudels are, but you don't even know until now. Toaster strudels are something I ate occasionally before school every morning like I am sure a lot of you did to. Homemade toaster strudels are so much better made from scratch and have way more flavor. I am using store bought puff pastry but feel free to make homemade puff pastry if you prefer. Serves 2 ( can easily double/triple the recipe to make more)

Filling
Fruit of choice depending on the size (I used strawberries) You can use blackberries, raspberries, peaches. Whatever you like give it a try
sugar to taste (my fruit was in season so I only needed 1 teaspoon) Use however much you need
Puff Pastry ( I used 1 full sheet to serve 2 people)
1 egg mixed with a teaspoon of water to make an egg wash

Cream cheese glaze
1 ounce of room temperature cream cheese
1/3 cup of powdered sugar/confectioners sugar
milk ( for the consistency you like) little bit at a time
teaspoon of vanilla extract
