The drive from Chandigarh to Shimla by car, especially in a Tata Punch, offers a comfortable and scenic journey. Here are the details:

Distance: Approximately 112-120 km (depending on the route).
Driving Time: Around 3.5 to 4.5 hours, depending on traffic, road conditions, and stops along the way.

Route Overview:

Chandigarh to Kalka (~30 km): The drive starts on well-paved roads with gentle inclines as you head towards Kalka.

Kalka to Solan (~45 km): After Kalka, the hilly terrain begins. The road from Kalka to Solan is curvy but in good condition, offering beautiful views of the Shivalik hills.

Solan to Shimla (~40 km): The final stretch involves more twists and turns as you ascend to Shimla. The road offers stunning views, especially near Kandaghat.

Tips:

Car Performance: Tata Punch is well-suited for this drive, with good ground clearance for hilly roads and a smooth suspension system to handle sharp bends.

Driving Experience: The roads are generally safe but narrow at some points. Drive cautiously on hairpin bends.
