NLTV REPORTS ON THE USE OF SUNFLOWER DRUGS BY YOUTHS OF NAGALAND

Has the use of drugs among youths in Nagaland governed the citizens with concerns? As it can be said that the use of illegal drugs has gone up from previous years in Nagaland. Most of the engineered users are as reports youths who have highly been influenced by the use of this elicit drugs called sunflower in the market. The abusive use of this so called sunflower drugs by youths have become a major issue not just in Nagaland but in the northeastern states especially the border areas. Recent days has seen the rise of rampant sunflower drugs abuse in the Assam-Nagaland interstate border and in this regard, NLTV team has taken a special ground report on the issue. It has been observed that the activities of sunflower drugs were mostly supplied from Lahorijan tea garden areas and sold distributivity in different parts of Nagaland. The illegal activities reportedly have been taking place mostly between the evening and midnight hours particularly in the areas surrounding the Ghorapatti and the Niu colony railway track. According to the locals, the colony council and youths have made innumerable efforts to stop the abuse of drugs and sunflower drugs in particular, however it has had minimal to no effect so far.
