Green gram curry (Indian mung bean curry) a popular kongunadu special dish made in most households in Coimbatore. We call it pacha payaru kadanjathu/ Kuzhambu locally in kovai. This green moong dal recipe is one of those dals I make often. This is one legume that doesn't need long soaking. However they can also be cooked without soaking. This green gram curry is delicious, easy to make and goes very well with hot rice and rotis. I slightly twisted the recipe as per my tastebud and the outcome was too delicious. I am making this every week at my home. Do try this yummy green gram curry at home and stay safe.

Ingredients:

Green gram - 150 gms
Ghee - 2 two
Cooking oil - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 two
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 Sprig
Garlic - 8 - 10 nos
Salt required
Coriander leaves
Dry chilli - 3 nos
Onion - 2 Chopped
Tomato - 2 (Finely Chopped)
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Sambhar powder - 2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
