Richard Shireby & Mr Chippie discuss & demonstrate receive alignment using cheap test equipment. This follows on from my series demonstrating transmitter setup. When following this technique it is assumed that the transmit side of the radio has been serviced first & is therefore on frequency. Do not go into transmit with the CB radio connected to the receive test equipment. This method involves tuning up the receive of a new modern CE multnorm CB radio.

The next part of this series & most likely the last, will demonstrate a similar method to service/align the receivers in FM only CB27/81 CB transceivers, though I'm waiting to buy in one final piece of test gear to demonstrate this latter technique.
