In previous videos ( • How we share our Starlink Internet ac... ), I've talked about how we use inexpensive mesh wifi to blanket our farm in wifi and distribute our Starlink internet service. It works very well, and in this video ( • Mesh WIFI on the Farm - UPDATE and FA... ), I talked about how I extended one leg via ethernet cable.
Well, now I have a new challenge. We have family that has land up the road from us and we wanted to connect them to our mesh network, but it is too far for mesh and we dont have access to the property in between here and there.
What to do?
I put a wireless bridge between here and there, and it works great. I just pointed the bridges toward each other, plugged them in, and plugged a Deco M5 (https://amzn.to/3xRctvM) into each side, and VIOLA! I like using easy-to-use networking equipment, and I like inexpensive equipment and this ticks both boxes. Check out how easy it was to set up, and links to it in our Amazon storefront.
