Riding Train Trestles And Lakeside Vanlife - Finally Getting Somewhere

Описание к видео Riding Train Trestles And Lakeside Vanlife - Finally Getting Somewhere

Welcome to episode two of my ultimate summer vanlife road trip. After a bit of a slow start, I'm finally starting to get somewhere. Starting this episode I ride my bike on the famous train trestles of Myra Canyon. These old wooden trestles were originally part of the historic Kettle Valley Railway, and now they are a recreational hot spot in Kelowna BC. I talk about some of the history, including about the big fire of 2003 that burned many of these trestles. After the bike ride, and eating some leftover lasagna from my mom, I decided to spend the night vanlifing in the parking lot. In the morning I headed out, grabbed a subway to eat at the lakeside, then hit the road propper. I had a 5 hour drive to Blue River to do, which was a lot, but definitely necessary. I plan on canoeing Murtle Lake in the future, so that's why I needed to be in Blue River. And let me tell you what, once I got to Blue River, I really felt like I had gotten somewhere. I was well and truly out there now. I found a sweet spot to camp right on the lake shore, set up camp for the night, flew my drone, then settled in for the night. In the morning, I woke up and admired the view for one last time, then I was off to canoe Murtle Lake, which is where I'll be in the next episode.
