LANGERS DELICATESSEN
704 S Alvarado St, Los Angeles, CA 90057
This iconic spot has been serving good sandwiches since 1947. When you walk in you can tell it is a very old school historic deli. If you come here you have to order the famous # 19 which is a pastrami sandwich with cheese coleslaw on rye bread. The pastrami was mealy in your mouth tender. It was definitely my favorite pastrami sandwich I’ve had in LA.

PHILIPPE THE ORIGINAL
1001 N Alameda St, Los Angeles, CA 90012
This next spot is where the French dip sandwich was invented. Philippe’s has been opened since 1908. It is one of the oldest restaurants in Los Angeles. I ordered the pork dip (double dipped) with Swiss cheese. I was surprised by how flavorful the sandwich was. It is a super simple sandwich that doesn’t look that appealing but I can tell you that there is a lot of flavor.
