SYNOPSIS:
In Massacre, a Mexican Rurales cavalry unit led by Captain Ramón is tasked with tracking down a notorious gunrunner selling weapons to hostile Yaqui Indians. Their mission begins when reports surface of firearms being traded deep in Yaqui lands, threatening both settlers and lawmen alike.
As Ramón and his small force venture farther into unfriendly territory, tensions rise between the laws of the government, the greed of outlaws, and the justified anger of the Yaqui tribe, who have suffered from defective supplies and ruthless exploitation. Interpersonal conflicts and shifting loyalties among the Rurales and their prisoners complicate the mission.
When the captives and lawmen are surrounded by the determined Yaqui warriors, survival becomes uncertain. Forced to confront their own inner divisions and the brutality of warfare, the group faces an inevitable, violent showdown with the tribe — and not all will live to see its end.
