Ajeet Cour’s autobiography ‘Khanabadosh’ (The Vagabond) won Sahitya Akademi award in 1985. “Free from all reformative or revolutionary pretence, she [Ajeet Cour] set out on the humanistic odyssey of understanding the human experience without talking into the ethical fallacy of judging others.” (Attar Singh). As a memoir, ‘Khanabadosh’ is a reflection of Ajeet Cour as a mother, lover, beloved, business-woman/publisher, author and much more.

‘Sfaid te Kali Hawa di Daastan,’ (The Saga of the White and Black Wind) the second chapter of this autobiography tells the story of her young and unrequited love for Baldev.
