Ajeet Cour’s autobiography ‘Khanabadosh’ (The Vagabond) won Sahitya Akademi award in 1985. “Free from all reformative or revolutionary pretence, she [Ajeet Cour] set out on the humanistic odyssey of understanding the human experience without talking into the ethical fallacy of judging others.” (Attar Singh). As a memoir, ‘Khanabadosh’ is a reflection of Ajeet Cour as a mother, lover, beloved, business-woman/publisher, author and much more.

‘One-Zero-One,’ the first chapter of this autobiography tells the story of her younger daughter Candy’s death by fire in Leon, France.
