One of my favorite things about Nashville is the concentration of amazing musicians and artists that live and work in this town. I’ve just begun to meet and be a part of the music community here and I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve met a new musician, singer, songwriter or artist that is every bit as good as the people that I’ve grown up listening to on the radio and watched on TV. Another favorite thing of mine about this town is I also meet some of the ACTUAL people that I’ve listened to growing up and watched on TV. This vlog is about both of those things.

When Pam Tillis reached out to me to play in her band for a show, I shook my head for a second and then said, of course. When I met the rest of the musicians in her band, I was once again reminded of just how good the players are in Music City and why so many touring and recording musicians call Nashville their home. Music is made here everyday and the musicians that make a living here, constantly push, inspire and generally have a wonderful time being a part of a life of music.

I’m 15 years old and I want to be a professional musician when I grow up. I try to play lots of instruments but the one that I feel most at home on is a drum set. I would say the only thing that impresses me more than a great musician is a great songwriter so I also spend some of my time trying to learn the magic of songwriting. I thought it would help me keep focused on music if I started a drum series where I learned a new song every couple of weeks. After 5 years, it’s now turned into a larger musical search but my goal hasn’t changed. Hopefully, I will keep doing it, keep loving music and keep getting better.
