黃翊誠是台大研究所高材生,卻只唸一年就休學,回台南七股,跟著阿公養蚵。

「阿公那時說:『早知道要回來養蚵,書也不必唸那麼多!』」

養蚵人家出海工作,吃的常是海上獨門料理「蚵蚵泡麵」。

蚵媽:「就地取材,就是蚵仔嘛!九層塔,把它放在泡麵上面沖,你看,有一種香味出來了。」​

翊誠回鄉養蚵,人生轉彎遇到愛,他與小學同學沛珊重逢。為了愛,沛珊甘心放棄美國工作回台。翊誠說,如果自己當初沒有回到七股,就不會跟老婆在一起,更不會有現在三個可愛的小孩。

一粒蚵仔,讓翊誠走上創業路,從養蚵,網路上賣蚵仔,到夜市擺攤烤生蠔。翊誠一路闖出「蚵男」名號,更把曾經分散各地的家人,重新串連起來。

蚵妹:「如果沒有這片蚵田,我哥也不會變蚵男嘛!」

After securing a place in a graduate program at one of Taiwan's most prestigious universities, Huang Yi-cheng suddenly threw caution to the wind and quit everything to take a gamble on the family's oyster farming tradition back in his hometown. After learning the ropes from his grandparents, he made a name for himself as Oysterman selling oysters online and at night markets before finally opening his own restaurant. In today's episode, we meet Oysterman as he balances the challenges of running a restaurant with raising a family. What serendipitous chain of events did Oysterman's ballsy decision set in motion? What nugget of wisdom did Oysterman’s grandpa share with him at the outset? Ultimately, what was the driving force behind the sudden shift in his life trajectory?
