A Night in Darujhistan : 1 hour of mystic & ethereal sounds | inspired by Malazan Book of the Fallen

Let me tell you a story.

The raindrops fell with relentless regularity on the cobblestones of Darujhistan Harbor, and the sky above the city was dark and gloomy. The streets were empty, as most of the citizens had taken shelter from the rain. Only a few creatures roamed the night: sporadic guards, stray dogs, and a few rats in search of food.

But there was someone else roaming the night. A mysterious figure flitted from shadow to shadow, its outline difficult to discern. It was searching for something, something it hoped to find that night.

Finally, the figure reached the graveyard of Darujhistan. It was even quieter here than in the streets of the city, but the figure's destination was here. The forest around the graveyard seemed even darker and more eerie than usual in this weather, but that did not stop the figure from continuing on. Soon, it reached an old grave overgrown with wild ivy.

The figure approached the tomb and began to whisper. The rain was still falling in torrents, but the figure didn't seem to notice. The words grew louder and more intense until finally a bright light shone from inside the tomb. The light was so bright that it was almost impossible to look.

When the light faded, the figure was gone and silence returned. But something was different that night. The animals that had roamed the streets before now seemed to be hiding, as if they knew something the humans did not. The raindrops still fell, but they seemed heavier now, as if carrying a message.

And in the cemetery of Darujhistan stood the ancient tomb, and no one knew who was buried in it or what secrets it held. But it was certain that it was connected to the mystical forces that surrounded the city, and that it had unleashed something new and unexpected that night.
