TorqueSim B-N Islander - Part 2 - ILS Approach, Go-Around [X-Plane]

Описание к видео TorqueSim B-N Islander - Part 2 - ILS Approach, Go-Around [X-Plane]

Flying the Britten-Norman Islander by TorqueSim. Part 2 shows a procedural approach to Southampton EGHI Runway 20. We look at how to handle the GNS530 and KFC225 autopilot, exploring some real world and some X-Plane quirks. Following a the ILS approach the autopilot is disconnected and a rejected landing / missed approach / go-around is flown.

Errors, Omissions, Clarifications:

I often say "power levers" rather than the actual lever I'm talking about (the problem with only having one set of thrust levers!) - I hope it's not too confusing. Same with singular vs multiple engines - my joystick has one lever, so my brain says "engine" and "prop" - I promise I know it has two!

To clarify prop handling on final, if the prop was set previously to 2300 and yet is only giving 2000 rpm, the prop is already in fine pitch and cannot to any more to allow the engine to rotate faster. By waiting until this point before pushing the levers forward we avoid any quick RPM changes and minimise noise.
