The Circle Orchestra feat. Panagiotis Diamantis, Apotoma (Απότομα) cover

Описание к видео The Circle Orchestra feat. Panagiotis Diamantis, Apotoma (Απότομα) cover

The Circle got bigger in Amorgos island in Greece this summer! Our good friend Panagiotis Diamantis (Trio Katara, The White Birds Tribute Band) collaborated with us in this arrangement of "Apotoma", a song by Manolis Hiotis, written in 1958 and sung in its first version by Doukissa (Dutchess!) It was heard in the 1959 comedy "Να ζήσουν τα φτωχόπαιδα" (Long live the poor boys).

Here's a rough translation of the lyrics:

Tell me why my love
my sweet consolation
Tell me why you denied me
why you left to live away from me

Chorus:
Suddenly,
you left me suddenly
you didn't deal with me with honour
and you run off one night

You denied me,
someone else charmed you
you dabbled in other things
and i have pain in my heart

I never hurt you
that's why I complain
about being alone
and getting no love
and i cry and flop

Chorus

Special thanks to our friends from the botanical park of Amorgos that provided us their lovely garden.
