The Circle Orchestra feat. Panagiotis Diamantis, Laos kai Kolonaki (Λαός και Κολωνάκι) cover

The Circle got bigger in Amorgos island in Greece this summer! Our good friend Panagiotis Diamantis (Trio Katara, The White Birds Tribute Band) collaborated with us in this arrangement of "Laos kai Kolonaki", a popular song by Manolis Hiotis, written for the 1959 movie of the same name about a poor man falling in love with a noble woman, getting rich himself and ending up marrying a poor girl that loved him from before he got rich.

The song deals with the same themes of love between different classes.

Here's a rough translation of the lyrics:

What difference does it make
if I'm poor
and you are rich
from Kolonaki (posh neighbourhood in Athens)

Chorus:
We are all the same
in this world
and we all have heart
Common folk and "Kolonaki"

Sadly, poverty and riches
