Changing an outboard control cable

In this video I go through the procedure to change a forward control cable on an outboard motor. This could be either a gear selector cable or a throttle cable. The basic procedure is to disconnect the old cable from the outboard end and from inside the forward control unit, change the end pieces over and then re-install. In this example we use a Yamaha two stroke outboard with a 703 forward control unit.
