Learn here how to Replace the license plate light bulb on your 2017 Hyundai Elantra / 2018 Hyundai Elantra will take you less than 5 minutes. You don't need any tools besides what your car already comes with.

Tools Needed: Flathead screwdriver

Instructions

1. Open the trunk
2. License plate lights are right above the license plate. Locate them.
3. Put the edge of the flathead screwdriver against the inner edge of the light and slide it towards the outside of the car. The light should come out.
4. Now disconnect the electrical connector by pinching it and pull the light out.
5. Now use the screwdriver to pry out the lens from the bulb holder. You only need to pry out 2 out of the 4 tabs.
6. Push down and out on the bulb and it will pop right out. You may have to wiggle the bulb a little bit.
7. Get the new bulb and push it down in the bulb holder.
8. Press the lens back on the bulb holder. You will heard the tabs click in place.
9. Now connect the electrical connector. Slide the bulb holder and push it. You will hear a click sound.
10. Now put the the light back in its position. Insert the outer edge of the light in first and then push it towards outside of the car and the inner edge should now be able to inserted back in position.
