ORIGINAL INFO: Both virtual AND real brutality… on your eyes.

RUMINATIONS: And thus Kamandi also draws to a close. Kamandi at least gave me more to work with than SCI-Spy – plenty of joke fodder, from the terrible muscles to the bizarre dialogue (books are full of thinking!) and just the sad, awful attempts to fit Superman and Kamandi into an environment that they have no business in being. Hell, even if you wanted to put Superman into a post-apocalyptic Mad Max setting, you don’t make him the secondary character (basically a footnote). Hell, his presence was only necessary in that he could do superhuman things, but you could have frankly made it be anybody. And as we saw with Superman at Earth’s End, his presence in this story is ESPECIALLY idiotic. In some ways I kind of want to do a re-review of some of my older stuff now that I’m older and more experienced, but that seems like folly. It’s not like my format has changed all that much since the beginning – it’s just that I’d tell different jokes. Perhaps for another time, but for now, Superman at Earth’s End will remain where it is… and just as anger-inducing and terrible as it is. Farewell, Bearded Idiot – you will not be missed.
