2021 Year of the Ox. Hon Hsing Athletic Club brings cheer to the Chinese community

Not even a pandemic nor snow could prevent the Hon Hsing Athletic Club of Vancouver from ringing in the Year of the Ox and from giving traditional blessings to our own club, to the Chinese community and to the Chinese-Canadian Museum located downstairs in our building. But more importantly, it couldn't prevent us from bringing blessings to our main patron, the Wongs'Benevolent Association of Canada! We should note that all of this was done wearing face masks and with social distancing. Afterwards, grateful Chinatown store owners desperate for some good luck begged us to bless their stores as well but unfortunately due to time constraints, we could only bless 3. It was beautiful to see the joy in people's eyes for us to bring some traditional CNY celebrations to our struggling community.
