Alfred Tries To Play: Metal Morph (SNES)

It's mighty morphing metal here as your character possesses a unique ability to dissolve into a puddle of liquid metal and travel through pipes!

This is an interesting platform/shooter hybrid that's worth a look. The platforming stages are fairly solid as you must explore each stage looking for a specific object and there's also a light puzzle element too with your character having to turn off switches to disable electrified fields. You also have some decent weapons too to destroy the alien foes. You only have a limited number of continues and each life costs a continue, but extra continues are at least fairly generously sprinkled throughout each stage, so it's not quite as frustrating as it could have been.

The shooter levels aren't that fun and seem a lot more sloppy compared to the platform ones and go on for a long time, but it's not quite a deal breaker. In all this is a pretty interesting title that I found myself enjoying quite a bit.
