How to - Christmas Tree Safety

On the latest edition of Ask The Eagle we check out the safety aspects of having a Christmas tree indoors.

There are a lot of points to keep in mind when choosing a tree but the big ones are:

If it's fake, make sure it's flame/fire retardant
It's not blocking an exit, electrical outlet, or heat source of any kind
Use indoor lights for indoors and outdoors for outdoors. Having the wrong lights can cause fires or shortages.
-Turn off the tree at night while sleeping or when you leave the house for long periods of time.

When it comes to real trees all of those things apply, but the major point with them is to make sure you WATER them DAILY. Cut trees are dead and need water to survive longer, if you don't they can catch fire MUCH easier.
