The key thing is that the success isn’t in getting the child to stop being anxious, it’s in accepting that it’s reasonable for them to be anxious and normalising that for them.

Then it’s about helping yourself to let go of some of that guilt. It’s not something you are doing to your child, it’s something that is happening that you can help them through.
