message from artist from Black Crystal, Lucy Zhi: this song is part of the soundtrack of a film that came out in 2022 called "Redeeming Love." when I heard this song, I wished I knew this song a lot sooner. wished someone said these things to me. it just felt so healing. "to find you in the middle of the darkest night", "there is no distance that cannot be covered over and over," and this line "I hear you whisper, you have nothing left.." hit me really hard. it captured for me, complicated feelings of really liking someone but you have nothing to offer. maybe he's better off with someone who can give him the life he deserves. but that person has always been there. he is patient and he doesn't blame you for running away to deal with your demons no matter how many times. you picture knowing someone like that. I prepared a song cover, I hope you'll like it.
