A drone view of the Heuvelton Nature-like Fishway. Oswegatchie River flows were about 1600 cfs, and the Heuevelton fishway was in operation. The presence of overhead powerlines and the proximity of the substation significantly affected the radio signals controlling the video feed from my drone, where you can see in the video that I had to stop frequently and wait for my video link to "catch up". In the future, if I were to encounter this issue again, I would program an autonomous flight path for the drone.

The fishway was designed for Lake Sturgeon, Walleye, Mooneye, American eel, and other resident species, providing connectivity on the lower 60 miles of the Oswegatchie River. Brookfield, the owner, won national awards for the project.
