Doctor Who Epidemic | Title Sequence

Well... here we go. After months and months of work, this is the final result.

I won't lie, all of this started back in 2019, if I'm not mistaken. It was already finished (I'll upload the old version someday), but I was not happy with that, then I started making it again, improving the concept and visual quality. But there was a huge obstacle: my old PC, the one I used to make my Who intros. My dad bought it for me and my brother back in 2008. The specs of the PC? Intel Celeron 1.80ghz, 2gb ram, no graphic card. Yes... it was a nightmare to create anything in it.

But in 2021 I started working professionally as a motion designer, got a brand new PC, becoming able to render in GPU-based renderers which are very, very fast. And I no longer needed to prune my ideas to fit my PC's capabilities. Now I can freely create my stuff. Since then I think I improved my skills a lot.

The high school. I attended a specific High School here in Brazil for about 4 years (between 2018 and 2022) where I didn't have time for many things, let alone creating something like this (that's why I kinda disappeared). I graduated last year and I WAS FINALLY FREE!! It was like leaving a war.

At the end of 2022, I resumed the project. Some stuff was already done, but I still had a lot of things to do. Since then I've been on this project, trying to create the most impressive visuals: large 3D scenes, breathtaking animations and sound design (such a delicious sound design, I'll upload it someday too), FLIP simulation, particles simulation, pyro simulation. I actually don't think this is incredibly awesome or something, but it's certainly one of my greatest works and certainly gave me some pretty frames I can now use as wallpaper. Joking apart I got a lot of new skills while creating this, I learned, and this is very important. That's how we improve, one step after the other.

You all might be asking who the hell is Miles Giscombe after all. He was actually the guy who emailed me asking me to create this! Doctor Who Epidemic title was created by him and his friends (I guess?), which by the way I personally love [the title]. All he told me in the email was to include the Tower of Pisa, Stonehenge, and biohazard sign. Then I had to reunite this all in a title sequence. It was kinda difficult. If you follow me on Twitter, you certainly know this. But it was also fun!

I really want to say thanks to SalemSound who had been working on the theme song specially for THIS TITLE SEQUENCE!! I'm euphoric with my first opening with a theme made especially for it. Thank you so much, Devon! Thanks for this opportunity. I really hope you guys love this as much as I did!
