Proper cleaning and conditioning helps preserve the finish and life of your leather footwear.

Oiled Leathers
(as displayed in the video with the 877 8'' Moc Toe Oro-iginal and the 2940 7'' Round Toe Oro-russet Portage)

What you need:
Red Wing Shoes Leather Cleaner
Red Wing Shoes Boot Oil / Mink Oil
Red Wing Leather Conditioner
A clean cloth
Red Wing stiff bristle brush
1.
Remove laces to keep them clean
2.
Remove dirt from the shoe by cleaning thoroughly with a stiff bristle brush.
3.
Clean boots (including the welt and stitches) with a damp, clean piece of cloth.
4. For oil-tanned Oro-iginal leathers
Using leather cleaner reduces the oil in the leather. To re-add oil to the leather apply Red Wing Shoes Boot Oil or Mink Oil as directed.
4. For Portage leathers
Once dry, apply Red Wing Leather Conditioner with soft cloth.
5.
Allow one night's soak for best result, then wipe boots with another clean piece of cloth.

Rough Leathers
(as displayed in the video with the 8113 Iron Ranger Hawthorne Muleskinner and the 3143 Work Chukka Sand Mohave)

What you need:
Red Wing Nubuck/Suede Bar
Red Wing Brush
1.
Remove laces to keep them clean
2.
Remove dirt with the Nubuck gum/tool, then brush the leather with brush tool.
3. For Muleskinner leathers
Apply small amount (too much will darken the leather) of Mink Oil to boots with a clean piece of cloth
3. For Mohave/Abilene (Suede) leathers
Mohave/Abilene (Suede) leathers don't need any further conditioning
4.
Remove loose fibers with the cleaner kit brush.

Featherstone Leathers
(as displayed in the video with the Beckman Black Featherstone 9014)

What you need:
Red Wing Leather Cleaner
Red Wing Shoe cream
Red Wing stiff bristle brush
Red Wing Polish Brush
A clean cloth
1.
Remove laces to keep them clean
2.
Remove dirt from the shoe by cleaning thoroughly with a stiff bristle brush.
3.
Clean boots with a damp, clean piece of cloth. Boots should then be dried naturally in a cool, dry place, as high heat can remove oils in the leather.
4.
Gently apply Red Wing Shoe cream with a clean, soft cloth.
5.
Shine the boot by brushing before the shoe cream is fully dried.
