Components Of Power BI Desktop
Power Query: It is used to query the data from various data sources without writing the code.
Power Query is used to implement ETL Processing for only reporting purpose.
To read data from data sources, we need to use Power Query.
Power query expects connectors to connect data sources.

Excel: If your data source is excel then you need to use "Excel Workbook" connector.

Excel Workbook: It is used to connect Excel workbooks.
