A Lufthansa Business Class flight coming in near the top of my all-time favourite flights list? I'm just as shocked as you are.

Let's be real for a minute. Lufthansa Business Class gets a bad rap. From the ~extremely outdated~ 2x2x2 configurations that are still widespread across their fleet to subpar meal options, I've heard all sorts of different complaints that didn't exactly have me expecting much for this flight.

Well, consider me floored while I welcome you onboard one of Lufthansa's Airbus A350-900s, with a seating configuration that is rather unique as these particular aircraft maintained their old layouts from when they were transferred from Philippine Airlines. But the fun doesn't stop with these private, elegant and spacious pods, because the food and drink service onboard was top-notch. High-quality food, a range of choices, and thoughtful touches that made it oh so much better - like freshly squeezed orange juice and some of the best fresh, buttery, flakey croissants.
