This video is going to be an in-depth guide to sleep, how to get better sleep, how important sleep is - and I’m going to try and make it actionable as hell.

There is literally so much more to it, but I thought I'd condense some of my top, actionable tips for you in a video. Here are a few additional things that will help you out:

Don't have caffeine past 1pm. One study found that consuming caffeine 6 hours before bedtime reduced total sleep time by 1 hour.

Meditation is fabulous for your sleep. One 6 week study split a group in to two - one group spent some time each week learning about healthy sleep habits, the other spend time each week learning about and practicing mindfulness. After 6 weeks, the mindfulness group had reportedly less insomnia, less fatigue and less depression.

If you can, avoid exercise late in the day. It's better for your sleep.

Get some sun exposure early in the morning if you're in a place that allows for that to get your body clock in check.
