OMG! Today has finally arrived. This is one of those things that you really want to do, even 35km/hr winds couldn’t stop us. LHistorical golfing at its finest! We get to dress the part and play a 9 hole historical golf course with the old hickory golf clubs. Now, we are not golfers, not even remotely, but something about this opportunity drew us to go and give it a go. What a joy that we did. We had a hugely fun day with absolutely no idea about what we were doing (other than what we have seen on telly). If you get a chance, round up some friends and go give this a go.
We had a big day today as we explored Bothwell (we know we probably won’t get another chance to see this beautiful old town). We had a wonderful country style lunch that helped fortify us for the long afternoon ahead.
It’s hilarious at one point in this episode when Monique tells Karen that it’s lucky that the wind has stopped, while Karens pants legs are still flapping around.
Hope you get a bit of a laugh out of watching us make golf look terrible and sorry to all the golfers out there that take the game so seriously.
Karmonajourney to the oldest golf course outside of Scotland that is still in operation. Enjoy.
