This conversation with Olivia was filmed in 2008, in China, on 'The Great Walk to Beijing', which was a fundraiser for her ‘Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research and Wellness Centre.’

Although this epic journey has long been completed, the ongoing commitment of Olivia and all the walkers, became a reality in 2012, when the ‘Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre' was opened in Melbourne. The website now, for donations to keep Olivia's vision of a world free from cancer is https://www.onjcri.org.au

Looking back at this conversation with Olivia, some 15 years later, it is now such a wonderful testimony for Olivia's journey in life, from her incredible courage through life's huge challenges of loss and pain, through to her amazing fortitude and selflessness in always thinking of how she can best utilise her global profile, for the betterment of others.

In this filming, Olivia talks about how The Great Walk came to be and we meet 'Magic' the new-born kitten, who became the symbol of the walk.

There was a wide array of International stars, sporting legends and cancer survivors who joined us at various stages, on the 228km walk, along selected parts of the Great Wall of China, in the 23 day journey.

These included Sir Cliff Richards, Kieran Perkins, Ian Thorpe, Joan Rivers, Didi Conn, Dannii Minogue, Samantha Reilly, James Reyne and Sigrid Thornton…as well as Diane Heavin, Curves founder, and the major sponsor of the walk.

Olivia talks about how 'intention creates reality', her daughter Chloe and her own cancer experience...all the while nursing little Magic.
Magic was found on an icy pond during the walk, and only survived because of Olivia taking on the role of cat mother.

Olivia also talks about her experiences on the walk, which included a wide variety of climates and terrain from the aridness, heat and sandstorms of the Gobi Desert...through to snow and rain in the higher altitudes.
As a committed team, we met and ate with village people in remote areas... as well as government officials from the larger cities.
We walked, sang, slipped, crawled, fell, climbed, cried, cheered and generally celebrated our lives....and the ongoing reason for the walk.

The walk theme song 'Right Here With You' was recorded by Olivia and Delta Goodrem, and is at the end of this episode.
And a huge thank you to Paul Schedlowich, all round excellent cinemaphotographer, who came with me on the walk, and filmed the 15 x one hour episodes, in addition to post-production back in Australia.

‘Like many of us Olivia, I still find it hard to believe you are no longer with us on this physical plane. Your light, your love, your absolute dedication to being part of a global team, committed to eradicate cancer and bring wellness modalities into people's healing journeys, was, by your own song...MAGIC!!!!
I am forever blessed in having met you, walked with you, and had the absolute honour of this conversation with you.
Sharing some personal time was magic as well…and in your own words...'in Love and Light.'
