Surprisingly peaceful and beautiful walk down the central boulevard of the USSR-time miner town of Kohtla-Järve.
The small settlement became a rapidly growing town during the Soviet occupation of Estonia, acting as centre for oil shale mining industry. Its population almost tripled from 1946 till 1989 and began to decline with the dшsintegration of USSR. Now its a small town with the strong feeling of the long-gone Soviet era.
