This is a suit for modification of child support the parents have been operating under temporary orders

The parents are in disagreement with a reset as requested by Dad and Mom wants final orders because the case has been pending for a while

The three children are receiving income as a result of Mr Clifford's disability or other allotment

The issue of confirmation of arrears has been reset multiple times for Mr Clifford to provide information regarding direct payments he made for child support

Dad owes $36,000 in child support arrears

Of the three children, one just had his 19th birthday in December, the second born is 16 years old and there is no mention of the youngest age

Mom works as a nurse and has health coverage through her employee paying $300 per pay paycheck

Mom is asked if she received any direct payments from Dad

The payments his mother had given me, she'd given me some money I think while he was incarcerated, I think a couple of payments were from cash but she did not pay them through the child support system so I just took them as her helping me out while he was incarcerated and couldn't make his child support payments

Mom is asked "Do you have any idea whether she had those funds because of Mr Clifford or from him herself", Mom replies I'm not 100% sure where the funds came from they could have come from his bank account

Dad informs the Judge he has submitted his documents before and Mom contested it because she wanted to see my bank accounts to make sure that the payments came from me and not my parents while I was incarcerated

Dad contends he was still receiving income from the VA and he has money orders that say child support on them

Dad claims to have receipts for over $8,000 but Mom says he only paid $400-500

Dad informs the court that Mom has been withholding custody and Mom inquires about unreimbursed medical costs, the Judge informs them both that they would have to file separate motions for that

"We're still talking about $40,000 and at 6% in interest, the interest payments alone are going to be above $253 a month"


Child support is money paid by one parent to the other parent for the purpose of providing financial support to a child or children.
