Laia Escartin - Lonely But Together (Live in Batavierhuis)

Second video of the mini serie: Live in Batavierhuis.

A song I wrote 6 years ago in a beach in Crete when i was traveling there by my own (with a small backpack, few money and my violin). My first solo travel :)
I wrote the song thinking i wanted to play it with Simone Bottasso.
I knew him from recordings and concerts, and one of the motivations to want to go to Rotterdam was because he was there and I wanted to record this song (among others) with him one day.
Through Simone I met Romain Bly, and we went all together with a van to Antwerp to play a crazy concert in a very cozy art gallery in the center.
From that experience, It confirmed the inner feeling of wantig to move from Barcelona to Rotterdam.
Three years later i record with them the song that made me dream about going to Rotterdam.
Together with Tim Panman, whom I met in Batavierhuis, and with whom we had a musical click and understanding from the first notes we played together, and also with Thodoris, whom I met through my friends who studied in Codarts, and we connected because of having similar musical ideas and taste.
We recorded in the green room of Batavierhuis, the artist co-working space where Romain, Tim, Simone and I are part of it.

The two songs of this "Live in Batavierhuis" session will be also released in digital platforms.

I also recorded the song with my sister (Escarteen Sisters), and released it on march 2024 with our second album. Another colour of arrangement, another world...
