Laia Escartin & Friends - Isolated Victims (Live At Batavierhuis #2)

The choir arrangement of Isolated Victims came out by recording many layers with my voice on top of a recording I had of me singing with the viola. I wanted to realise which was the harmonisation I had inside, and give some ideas to Juliano, the guitarist, to make his own voicings out of it.Then we came to the conclusion that the voicing of the guitar would not sound like a choir. So I decided to make two harmonic cushions out of it: Juliano with his own sound taste, and a little voice ensemble which could bring alive that spontaneous choir arrangement made in Garage Band (one day I will transfer to a more """pro""" program, for now.

Live at Batavierhuis# are a little serie of videos that where a good excuse to explore together with people of Rotterdam & Amsterdam that I appreciate and look up to, an excuse to had them and record in an evening two arrangements I wrote for the occasion.

We had a very cozy evening in Batavierhuis. Recording, eating and drinking together products of my village Guardiola de Font Rubí :-)

I was able to make all this happen thanks to Droom en Daad.
