Baritone Nicholas Morton is joined by conductor Martin André and the RCM Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Ivor Gurney's song In Flanders, orchestrated by Herbert Howells.

Both Gurney and Howells are former members of the RCM family during the First World War. That experience informs this poignant music, which was written on Christmas Day a little over 100 years prior to this performance.

Recorded on 30 June 2016 in the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall at the Royal College of Music in London.
