~ Check-in Experience ~
We stayed at the Trident Hotel BKC in June 2022 and arrived late at around 11pm. Surprisingly, there were 2 to 3 guests checking in at this hour. The hotel is located within the BKC commercial district which houses the offices many international companies and organisations. Security at the hotel is considerable and all guests must have their luggage and hand items scanned by X-ray before entering the hotel lobby.

~ Room Experience ~
At 28 sqm, the room isn't large but manages to feel adequate for short business trips, which is likely what this hotel was built for. The glass bathroom wall was an audacious choice but paid off by visually enlarging the size of the room and bathroom. The TV, while not industry leading in terms of size or visual fidelity compensates with an wide spectrum of channels to choose from. However, points have to be deducted from having a shower and bathtub combo, instead of separate areas, and from the mediocre writing corner. I understand the need to differentiate this room from the next tier but the room still had space by the window for a small, proper writing desk.

~ Pool & Gym Experience ~
The pool was of a good size and had a pleasing infinity edge design. However the lack of lounge chairs by the pool, or seating of any kind, is baffling. The gym had a number of machines that should satisfy a short-term traveller.

~ Breakfast Experience ~
The breakfast buffet restaurant can get quite crowded with business travellers. While there was a wide variety of food options, quality was average. Service was prompt and commendable.

Pros:
Modern, clean furnishing.
Excellent service.
Good security.

Cons:
Far from traditional tourists spots. Nearest place of interest is the modern shopping mall "Jio World Drive".
Lack of a proper "work space".
