TBC -Create Vertical Alignment (Profile/Long Section)-Surface Modeling Edition Commands

Описание к видео TBC -Create Vertical Alignment (Profile/Long Section)-Surface Modeling Edition Commands

The process of creating a vertical profile involves aligning it with an existing horizontal profile. By accessing the vertical tab and selecting 'Create Vertical Alignment,' the stationing will match the horizontal stationing, starting at a specified elevation. Users can input known elevations and utilize various tools to adjust the view, such as creating a new profile view and splitting it for better visibility. By right-clicking on the view and selecting surfaces, users can activate the Topo surfaces to visualize the existing ground along the alignment. The process involves defining the first elevation point, matching it to an incoming road, and then proceeding to subsequent points, which may include grade breaks, symmetrical or asymmetrical curves, vertical arcs, or the end of a curve. Users can input curve data, such as stationing, elevation, and curve lengths, to match the existing ground as closely as possible. Adjustments can be made to curve lengths and elevations by selecting points from the plan or horizontal view, ensuring the vertical profile aligns accurately with the existing terrain. The final vertical curve is created to follow the existing ground, with the option to input specific curve data if available.
